Element exists to bring brands closer to their challenges and opportunities, people and culture.

Our experience has proven that bringing clients closer helps solve problems and unlock avenues for growth. So, immersion is at the centre of everything we do, it's our operating philosophy.

 

To genuinely add value to our clients, we need to understand their business and we need to occupy the world of their consumers, not construct scenarios that force engagement.

We believe the best way to understand the challenge is by steeping ourselves in the current state. We become well versed in the business.

 

We deep dive into business and brand problems, (nicely) ask tough questions, analyse the dynamics of markets, categories and cultures, we collaborate with client team and workshop solutions.

The truth is once we have diagnosed the problem, we're half-way to solving it.

The best way to understand a consumer’s perception of a brand is to experience it the way they experience it.

To generate authentic insights, we dig deeper into the consumer's life and the culture around them. We understand how people truly live and establish how to better solve for their everyday needs.

Experience

Ewen Pettit

Founder & Head of Strategy

Ewen oversees the strategic direction across all of Element’s projects.

 

An experienced researcher, strategist and workshop facilitator, he uses insight as a springboard to solve problems and identify new avenues or futures for brands. Ewen’s strength and passion lies in immersing himself in the world of the problem - the business, the consumer, or culture, to carefully architect plans that help business and brands grow.

 

He has a wealth of experience spanning consumer research, consulting and brand and communications strategy in Europe, North America and Australia. He has worked across most categories with particular emphasis in the alcohol, FMCG, automotive, tourism, telecommunications, and finance spaces.
